National Condom Week

Did you know Valentine's Day marked the beginning of National Condom Week, a campaign hosted by Planned Parenthood advocating and promoting healthy sexual habits across the country? Planned Parenthood centers across the county are giving away free condoms and spreading resources about initiating conversations about condoms with your partners and friends, as well as maintaining a healthy body image. Although condoms may not be favored by all, condoms are the only barrier method preventing you from pregnancy and contracting/spreading STIs. And, if you didn't know already, the United States has the highest rate of Sexually Transmitted Infections in the developed world. Go us...

But, hey, don't let that daunting statistic turn you away from getting close with your partner, just take the necessary responsible measures and you should be a-okay. If you're looking for honest and reliable information concerning STIs, birth control, etc, check out Planned Parenthood.

If you're also looking for some mood-lightening information, conversation topics, or safe word examples, check out Minimize Your Risk. There you will find information for free testing, how to talk to you partner, Sexual Honesty Mad-Libs, "Just the Tips" on how to make condoms fun, and how to have fun with safe words.

As long as the proper steps are taken, you can guarantee yourself a safe and fun romp.

In need of condoms on short notice?
Stop by the Women's Center from 10am - 7pm/ 5pm on Fridays for 10 cent condoms!
Talk about a bang for your buck.
