Are you feeling like a scrooge this holiday season?

The holiday season is upon us and I can't help but notice just how very scroogey I have been. If you happen to find yourself in the same boat as I, lets work together to get ourselves into the spirit through a series of gifs conveniently found on your friend and mine, the internet.

Currently, this is how I feel when I hear Christmas music and see Christmas decorations and commercials everywhere I turn.

When in actuality, I should feel like this.

So how do we channel our inner Carlton?

1. Go out side and eat snow! Just make sure it's not yellow.

2. Rock out to some holiday tunes sparingly, it's all about easing yourself into it. If you propel yourself into a pile of holiday garland and yuletide joy, you're bound to implode. So maybe, lets start with 1 holiday song, and maybe tomorrow you'll be able to listen to 2 without ripping your hair out.

3. Curl up with your roommates, a warm cup of hot chocolate and a quality holiday movie that may get you in the spirit without overwhelming your shrunken Grinch sized heart, like mine.

I suggest Home Alone 2,

Or, How the Grinch Stole Christmas

4. Find a friend who's just as grinchy as you. We need support during this time and if you work together to find your holiday spirit it will be less painful.

5. Most importantly, eat pie. Lots of pie. It will create the warm and fuzzies you've ignored for so long.

Ultimately, if all else fails, just put a Santa hat on. That bad boy has the power to get you in the mood, and if it doesn't, at least if will look like you are.

Although my heart may be Grinchy and not in the spirit, I wish you and your loved ones the happiest and warmest of holidays.
