Awesome Australian Prime Minister is Awesome

Julia Gillard, Australian Prime Minister and member of the Labor Party, has faced adversity through out her career. Recentley, however, opposition leader Tony Abbot felt the need to call Ms. Gillard a sexist after the Speaker of the House stepped down after sending sexists texts to another member of the house. Abbot called Gillard's character into question because she appointed Mr. Slipper as the speaker, and he said that she was sexist for not forcing Slipper to step down. In response, Gillard laid down a fifteen minute speech (Smack Down) about how Abbot is the epitome of the misogyny he is trying to "fix." She said, "If he wants to know what misogyny looks like in modern Australia he doesn't need a motion in the house of Representatives, he needs a mirror."

Amazing. Now, I don't know much about Gillard's politics, but this video is well worth the fifteen minutes. We need more of this kind of talk in our own country. Check it out!
